- Napoli Reach Agreement for Vanja Milinkovic-Savic
Napoli have reached a verbal agreement with Torino for Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbia international will join Antonio Conte’s squad after saying yes to the move in June.
The deal is worth €21m. Napoli will pay the fee in four instalments. All parties have accepted the structure. Paperwork is being prepared and will be completed in the coming days.
Milinkovic-Savic played a key role for Torino last season. His performances in Serie A earned attention across Italy. Napoli identified him early as the first-choice target for the goalkeeper position.
Antonio Conte approved the signing during internal planning. Napoli wanted experience, height, and consistency. Milinkovic-Savic brings all three. The goalkeeper stands at 2.02m and commands his area with control.
Torino accepted Napoli’s terms after final discussions this week. The club preferred to secure a full agreement before starting their own search for a replacement. The transfer will be made official once all signatures are completed.
Milinkovic-Savic has made over 100 appearances in Serie A. His profile fits the tactical demands of Conte. Napoli want him available before their pre-season training camp. The goalkeeper is expected to travel this weekend.
Talks began in early June. Milinkovic-Savic gave his approval shortly after hearing Napoli’s proposal. Personal terms were not an issue. The Serbian goalkeeper will sign a multi-year contract valid until 2029.
Napoli will now shift focus to reinforcing their midfield and right-back positions. The club continues to work with Conte on targeted recruitment across key areas. The move for Milinkovic-Savic was treated as a priority.
Soccerpicks confirms that Napoli view this signing as complete. Final medical tests and contract signing will follow shortly. The Serie A club will announce Milinkovic-Savic as their new goalkeeper this week.
